He was predeceased by: his parents, Alejandro Cortes and Susana Caban; his brother Angel L. Cortes; and his nephew George Wonsang. He is survived by: his siblings, Carmen L. Wonsang, Maria L. Cortes, Miguel A. Cortes, William Cortes and Alejandro Cortes Jr.; his children, Alberto Cortes, Robert Cortes, Tywan Young, Carolyn S. Cortes and Angel Cortes; his partner Cary Martinez; and his partner's children, Louis and Evie. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, great grandchildren, 5 loving nieces, 2 nephews, as well as many dear friends.
