He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hicks and Ruth Townsend; his brother Buddy; his son Robert Hicks Jr.; and his grandson Matthew Chadwell.
He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy Hoyle of Denver Colorado and Anita Carter of Magnolia Texas; his daughters, Martha Carroll, Darlene Brown of Holt Florida, Jenny Miller and Pam Hicks of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob Hollock, Richard Beck, Carol Beck of Holt Florida, Robert Beck Pace of Florida, Christopher and Jackie Beck Defuniak Springs of Florida. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and many beloved nieces nephews cousins and dear friends.
