He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Martin; his son Richard F. Martin; and his siblings, Louise McDuffie, Dorothy Ford, Gladys Howell, Marilyn Lunn, Bud Martin and Robert Martin.

He is survived by: his sister Margaret Altman; his grandchildren, Jessica Martin and Ryan Smith; and his friends, Eddie and Melissa Gassett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
