It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly Jean Mattix of Hudson, Florida, who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Beverly has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen Mattix; her children, Jeffrey Mattix (Patricia), Nick Mattix and Cynthia Snell; and her sister Lynn Throop. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hudson First United Methodist Church (13123 US-19, Hudson, FL 34667). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at the Grace Memorial Gardens (16931 US-19, Hudson, FL 34667).
