She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Waldemar Perttunen and Martha Wilhemina Perttunen (Helberg); and her brother David Perttunen. She is survived by: her husband Eugene E. Kortier; her children, Mari Dew (Norman) and Marc Kortier; and her grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Dew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nativity Lutheran Church, Weeki Wachee, Florida.
