She was predeceased by : her son Carlos Sanabria. She is survived by : her children, Gladys Green (Alan), Sandra Lugo (Alonzo) and Ismael Lugo; her siblings, Lydia Lugo, Inez Lugo, Oscar Lugo and Felix Mercado; and her brother-in-law Hector Sanabria. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
