He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Overholser and Helen Overholser (Davis); and his sister Carol Lee Borig. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hudgens Overholser; his daughters, Anne Geisinger (Ken) and Stephanie Brookey (Chuck); his sisters, Sharon Overholser and Linda Thomas (Michael Moran); his nephews, Damien, Johnny and Timmy; and his niece Melissa.

In lieu of flowers, Bob's favorite charity is Tunnels to Towers.
