As George departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy George leaves behind.
He is survived by: his wife Majel Smith Legters; his children, George Richard Legters, III, Elizabeth Majel Legters and Gregg Walden Legters; his daughter-in-law Kate; and his sister Francis. He is also survived by his family, his tennis friends.
He followed politics with interest, and early on realized the truth about Covid.
