He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Davis and Dorris Hartsfield; his brother Guy Davis "Sonny" Hartsfield Jr.; his daughter Nichole Raye; and his sister Barbara Shane Carmichael.

He is survived by: his wife Regina Hartsfield; his daughter Jannon Hartsfield; his stepchildren, Jackie Chaney (Robert), Alexandra Cooper (Stephanie) and Jason Leveritt; and his siblings, Bruce Hartsfield (Cheryl) and Sharon Detlefsen. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
