She was predeceased by: her husband Lyman Krekel; and her brother Patrick H. Monahan II. She is survived by: her sister Patricia Holden of Kingwood, TX; her children, Edward H. "Ed" Barker IV (Faye) of Arlington, VA and Christian Marie Eldringhoff (Tim) of Kingwood, TX.; her grandsons, Tyler Monahan Eldringhoff and Peyton Spaulding Eldringhoff; and her parents, Ed and Faye.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Homes (4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:45 PM at the Arlington National Cemetery – Old Post Chapel. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
