With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne R Smith of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, born in Okolona, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 6, 2026 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Gregory Renshaw and George Douglas Renshaw; her husband Edward Jackson Smith; and her daughter Lisa Adele Rogers. She is survived by: her daughter Anne Lauren Braren (Michael); her grandchildren, Brooke McNeal (Mark) and Alex McNeal; her sister Mary Renshaw Haynes; her niece Paula Goodnight (Kevin); her nephew David Haynes (Kristi); her stepgrandchildren, Michael Braren (Morgan), Meghan Wood (Jason), Scotlyn, Rhett and Scarlett; and her caregivers, Paula Shealy, Amy Furhman and Sirlister Smiley.
