He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Jacksonville; his wife Lois; his children, Bart Chepenik (Myra Spindel) and Jana Zager (Joshua Zager); and his grandchildren, Molly Chepenik, Leah Chepenik, Liv Chepenik, Nathan Zager and Lily Zager.

Donations may be made to The Jacksonville Jewish Center or River Garden.
