She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcos Mercado and Pura Matos. She is survived by: her husband John Brushwood; her siblings, Jose Mercado, Maria E. Feliciano, Adelaida Flores, Jaime Mercado, Elizabeth Mercado, Samuel Mercado and Enestaly Mercado; her stepchildren, Patty Flores, Jerry Flores, Valerie Belgadi and Heather Brushwood; and her pet Pepe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens (111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
