It is with sadness that the passing of Bennett Bolton Clance (Jacksonville, Florida) is shared. Bennett, born on August 5, 1934, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Edward Clance Sr.; his wife Patricia "Pat" Raines Clance; his siblings, Ernest Edward Clance Jr. and Judith Clance Lynch; and his granddaughter Megan Denise Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Robyn Murphy (Michael), Cynthia Hawkins (Michael) and Todd Metz (Ashley); his grandchildren, Kristen Crowell and Kyle Halstead; his stepgrandsons, Andrew Hawkins (Lindsey), Adam Hawkins (Diana) and Michael Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Bennett Crowell, Sarah Megan Crowell, Drew Hawkins and Finn Hawkins; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Mattox (Wayne) and Wendy Brashier (Joe); Ruth Bolton Clance. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Saint John's Cathedral (256 E Church St, Jacksonville, FL 32202).
