He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughter Beth; his son-in-law Chuck Simikian; his son Beau (Burrell Jr.); his daughter-in-law Heather Horton; his son Brad Horton; his daughter-in-law Caroline Hilldale; his grandchildren, Braden and Bella; his brothers, Walter Horton and Dr. Robert "Bob" Horton; and his close friend L. M. Welch.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
