She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Hampton-Banks and Sam Jenkins; her siblings, Wanda Pittman and Kerry Banks; her grandmother Lottie Hampton; and her uncles, Westley Hampton, Benjammin Hampton, Cecil Hampton and Willie Hampton.
She is survived by: her husband Grant Owens, Jr.; her son James Hampton (Autencia); her grandchildren, Jahmichael Rivera, Jeremiah Hampton, Jeremy Hampton, Jazmine Hampton and Janie Lee Hampton-Davis; her sisters, Necole Ellison and Rose Nadine Denis; her mother-in-law Dorothy Owens; her siblings-in-law, Dexter Wilson, Jerome Owens, Jeffery Owens, Etta Owens and Gaye Owens; and her close friends, Carolyn Williams and Cherrie Labatte. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
