We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 74, Catherine Sophia Lopez (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Duluth, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Catherine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Michael Joseph Gleeson and Catherine Friis Odegard; her children, Anna Lopez Brosche (Dave) and Anthony Marcial Lopez (Regina); her grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Dillon, Kaden, Gaven and Rohan; and her brother Michael Gleeson. She was also cherished by 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to either the Jacksonville Humane Society (jaxhumane.org) or the Foundation for Community Hospice and Palliative Care (thefoundationcares.org).
