Cora Sue Shanklin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cora Sue Shanklin of Jacksonville, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Bennett and Maizie Morgan Bennett; and her stepdaughter Barbara Shanklin Isner. She is survived by: her husband Chester Shanklin; her sister Debra Pettry (David); her nephew Jonathan Pettry (Jessica); her great-nephews, Charlie and James; her great-niece Julianne; her sister-in-law Helen Bennett; her niece Sherry Shaffer; her great-niece Kelley of Summerville, WV; her sister-in-law Ramona Bennett; her nephew Stevie Bennett of Hinton, WV.; her stepdaughter Jane Shanklin Henchcliffe (Joe); and her stepgrandchildren, Liz Brusherd (Joel) and Chris Henchcliffe (Amanda). She is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sue's memory to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
