Debra Marie Stubits Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Marie Stubits of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Debra may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Debra touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Shockley. She is survived by: her mother Betty Shockley; her children, Jessica Durkin (Marty Durkin) and Joe Stubits (Danielle Stubits); her grandchildren, Conor, Cooper, Rowan and Jordan; and her siblings, Bill Shockley, Kenny Shockley and Val Hahn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society to honor Debbie's lifelong love of rescue animals.
