He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Scheaffer; his son Walter Jon Scheaffer (Susan); his grandchildren, Adrian Bowers, Angela Jarrett (Adrian), Steven Scheaffer and Conner Scheaffer; his great grandchildren, Shawn Cothran (Sara), Ciara Tillman, Emma Jarrett and Abigail Jarrett; his great great grandchild Summer Cothran; and his niece Marianne.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel (4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
