He is survived by: his children, Calvin Washington of Las Vegas, NV, Joe E. Cain, Sr. (Jenny) of Grayson, GA, Casandra Cohen of Jacksonville, FL, Edna Mae Kendrick of Jacksonville, FL and Lee C. Cain (Jacqueline) of Jacksonville, FL; his goddaughter Corlette Brown of Jacksonville, FL; and his siblings, Louise Barnhill, John and Willie Clyde Cain, Jr.. He is also survived by thirteen loving grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel (4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
