He is survived by: his mother Diane Elizabeth Mahoney (Shepherd) of Orange City; his friend Nate Wells; his father James Mahoney; his brothers, Kevin James Mahoney (Ariel) of Tampa, Stephen Kenneth Mahoney and Timothy Scott Mahoney of Orange City; his godmother Patricia "Auntie Pat" Lotsey of Orange City; and his grandmother Marilyn Louise Shepherd of Port Orange. He is also survived by 18 aunts and uncles; 23 first cousins; 16 additional cousins; and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the ASPCA (PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929) in recognition of Eric's love for animals.
