He is survived by: his wife Paula Black Wilcox; his children, Subrina Carter (AJ) of Jacksonville and Jordan Wilcox of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Tristan Carter, Terrell Wilcox, Kadein Wilcox, Amiyah Wilcox, Aubrey Carter and Austin Carter; his siblings, Edwin L Jr. (Janice) of Jacksonville, Dave (Tina) of Jacksonville, Danny (Corine) of Jacksonville, Bobby Wilcox (Mildred) of Jacksonville, Lenita Tatham, Melenease Wilcox of Jacksonville and Mollie Grant; his cousin Jeffrey Brantley; his goddaughters, Natalie Scott and Roneshia Ingram (Justin); his father-in-law John W. Black; and his siblings-in-law, John W. Black Jr., Valerie Johnson (Lonnie) of Jacksonville, Tina of Jacksonville and Angie Black of Jacksonville.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Chapel (4315 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Timothy Baptist Church (12103 Biscayne Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery (4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206).
