He was predeceased by: his father R. L. Sikes; his wife Edna Sikes; and his siblings, Herbert, Ted, Norman, Virginia and Clarice.

He is survived by: his children, Eugene M. Sikes, Jr. and Laura (Robert Tebo) of Mount Dora, Fla.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
