It is with sadness that the passing of Eugene Earl Wells of Jacksonville, Florida is shared. Eugene, born on May 26, 1935 in Vienna, Georgia, passed away on August 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Henry "Hank" Wells; his parents, William Wesley Wells Sr. and Pearl Mae Morgan; and his siblings, Fred Dismuke, Cornell Dismuke, Mary Alice Wells, Rebecca Wells, Hazel Wells, William Wesley Wells Jr., Robert Morgan and Roy Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Melzer Wells; his daughter Toni Wells Skorusa; his daughter-in-law Caroline Reeves Wells; his grandchildren, Taryn Wells Thomas (Zac), Logan Skorusa (Jessica), Shea Skorusa (Kevin) and Henry Wells (Don); his great grandchildren, Tegan Thomas, Tinsley Thomas, Tidus Skorusa and Alita Skorusa; and his brothers, Homer Morgan, Frank Morgan (Linda) and Sam Morgan (Ann). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
