He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Christopherson and Tillia Christopherson. He is survived by: his daughter Cara Wilmot; his son-in-law Ryan Wilmot; his grandchildren, Emily Wilmot and Ian Wilmot; and his sister Patricia Medicus.
The military honors was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Jesus Catholic Church (2275 Snow Rd N, Semmes, AL 36575).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Gary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) or Volunteers of America Southeast.
