He is survived by: his wife Mai Barnhart; his sister Sandy Barnhart (Ruby); and his children, Derek Barnhart (Yanire), Steve Barnhart (Angela) and Amanda Beck (Brent). He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, and many extended family.
