He is survived by: his wife Doris Bacon Bell; his children, Vanetta Jackson, Michelle Foster, Pat Quarterman, George Lorenzo Bell, Louis Quarterman (Evelyn) and Anthony Quarterman; his grandchildren, Kionna Willis (Calvin), Tourea Robinson (LeNard), Ri'chard Glass, Kimberly Thomas (Brian), Antonette Alexis (Billy), Latasha Quarterman, Cedric Tutson, Tameka Arline (Arthur), James IV Foster (Jasmin) and Michael Jamal Foster; his siblings, Benjamin Bell of New Orleans, LA, Joyce Reeves (Alfonzo), Sylvia (Osman) and Robin Harris; his brother-in-law Julius Bacon (Juanita); his cousin Bryan Thomas; and his goddaughter Ashley Perry. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
