He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles "Bud" Leonard King and Ethel Wall King; and his sister Phillis King. He is survived by: the mother of his children Patricia King; his former wife Lynn Jordan King; his sons, Scott King (Meghan), Eric King (Holly) and Jason King; his siblings, Nancy King and Ronnie King (Faye); his grandchildren, Cody, Zakary, Dillon, Courtney, Dylan and Harper King; and his great grandchildren, Nolan and Isla.
