He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Simpson; his children, David L. Petty, Sr. (Denise), James C. Simpson, Jr. and Becky Starr Lyon (Paul); his grandchildren, David Petty, Jr. (Amber), Daniel Petty, Laine Simpson (Kris Medina), Hollyn Simpson, William Meidling and John Meidling; and his great grandchild Ansleigh Petty.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rvierside Memorial Park (7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205).
