He is survived by: his children, Valerie Y. Dumas, James Dumas Jr., Andre L. Dumas and Arthur Walker; his grandchildren, Antwan L. Lee, Blake Louis, D'Anna Rushworth, Shawnee Dumas-Brooks (Derrick), Donavon J. Dumas, Deveraux A. Dumas, Simone Williams, Laila Crooms, Anya Walker, Talon Walker, Alahnah Walker and Taryn Walker; his son-in-law Gregory Crooms; his uncle Lonnie Stewart (Hattie); and his close friends, Jimmie Alvin, Lillian Brooks and Valinda Hunter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carthage Chapel (929 W Beaver St, Jacksonville, FL 32204). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church (1100 Logan St, Jacksonville, FL 32204).
