He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Sever of Perry, FL; his parents, Charles Eason Sever and Nellie Mae Sever; and his brother J. H. Sever. He is survived by: his children, Danny Sever (Laura) of Hilliard, FL and Regina Livermore (Jim) of Jacksonville, FL.; his grandchildren, Ashley Lira (Kevin), Jason Sever, Lyndsey Chitty, Wes Livermore (Valentina) and Ethan Sever; and his great grandchildren, Landen, Mason, Remington, Forest, Sophie, Sienna, Jake, GiGi, Mia and Emmy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Jim.
