He is survived by: his children, John Melvin Dees, Jr. (Brenda) and Connie Dianne Walker (Ted); his sister Maudie Lee Eason; and his stepchildren, Dan Bevan (Bridget), John Bevan (Carol), Keith Bolton, Gail Moore (Terry) and Theresa Gearing (J. C.). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
