He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hyatt and Molly Hyatt; his wife Helen Sczepaski; his children, Debra Leonard (Michael) of Jacksonville, Shelly Kersch of Jacksonville and David Hyatt of Naples, Florida.; his grandchildren, James Taylor (Jessica Carroll), Austin Wilchar (Angel) and Ashley Edwards (Chad Kersch); and his sister Sally.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Woods Lutheran Church (7860 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256).
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church or Community Hospice of Jacksonville.
