He is survived by: his wife Jill Nerf; his son Jarred Nerf; his sister Aimee; his brother-in-law Rob Mizell; his parents-in-law, Nancy, Vic Castilleja, Jack and Gail Smith; his siblings-in-law, Terri, Larry Legg, Amy, Terry Smith, Traci, Tom Best, Brooke and Kevin Kasser; and his friends, Tony Newman (Betsy), Punkie Brown (Quentin), Tina Grant, Cindy Hawkins (Mike), James Flowers (Rachel) and Avery Rouse (Tammy). He is also survived by friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St Joseph's Catholic Church (11757 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Divine Mercy House (Divine Mercy Ministries, Inc.) or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
