She was predeceased by: her parents, Neal Whitaker and Lillian Whitaker; her children, Ann Graham and Paul M. Graham; and her grandson Ian Strickland.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Harrison Graham; her daughters, Jeannie Cook and Judy Strickland (Hilton); her daughter-in-law Teresa Easterling; her grandchildren, Katrina Singletary (Mike), Ashley Cook, Jacob Graham and Michael Strickland; and her siblings, Harry Whitaker, Boyce Whitaker, Bobby Whitaker, Jean Scheifele, David Whitaker and Donnie Whitaker. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peeples Family Funeral Home (14165 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joy's memory to the North Jacksonville Baptist Church Building Fund or the First Baptist Woodstock Second Mile Fund.
