He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Phillips and Myrtle Lee Phillips Peacock; his stepfather Eustice L. Peacock; and his son Joshua Linn Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Deborah W. Phillips; his children, Amy Bell (Sidney) and Larry Dwain Phillips, Jr. (Ashley); his sisters, Martha Hemphill and Marion Quay Rehburg; his half-siblings, Charlene Delk and Jerry Phillips; and his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Phillips, Victoria Phillips, Aden Phillips, Isaiah Phillips, Anslee Harper, Michael Osuna and Shelby Bell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peeples (14165 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32218). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
