We announce the death of Linda Frances Thigpen of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 67. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert M. Dorsey (Bobby) and Marie Cason Dorsey; and her daughter Jennifer Lynn Thigpen. She is survived by: her sisters, Karen Elixson, Sandra Redmond and Robin Clark (Robert); her sons, John R. Thigpen and Joseph G. Thigpen (Joey); her grandchildren, Gabriella Montanez (Gabby), Natalie Montanez (Franz), Heather Clendenen and Jaycee Thigpen; her great grandchildren, Aliana Young and Ace Montanez; and her former husband Johnny Thigpen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin (11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
