It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marian Leighton Acree (Jacksonville, Florida), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on July 16, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Acree. She is survived by: her siblings, Burnell Edwin Leighton, Ruth Elizabeth Smith Chancellor (Leighton) and Jean Elvira Diaz Crosby (Leighton); her sons, Robert Leighton Acree and David Brooks Acree; her grandchildren, Michelle Catherine Averna (Acree), Brian William Acree and Laura Christine Talento (Acree); her great grandchildren, Charlotte Grey Averna, Felix Eisley Averna, Kaiper Anne Talento and Evan Orson Talento; her nieces and nephews, Jane Jackson (Diaz), Richard Diaz, Jr., Patricia Weitzel (Smith), Beverly Read (Smith), Suzanne Sauls (Smith), Toni Acree, Scott Acree, Chris Acree, Dawn West (Acree), William Acree and Adam Acree; and also David (Bobbie Ann).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian's name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
