He is survived by: his wife Sherry Strength Whitson; his sons, Mike (Hilary) of Montevallo and Brian (Kristin) of Anchorage, Alaska; his grandchildren, Daniel (Hannah), Everett, Jake, Evelyn, Ellen and Elizabeth; his great grandchild Callaway; his sister Barbara Lingis (Bob); his nephews, Rob Lingis (Melissa) and Kevin Lingis (Katie); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Whitson (Bruce).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fraser Funeral Home (8168 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221).
