She is survived by: her sons, Leotis, Melvin Simms (Kym) and Keith Simms; her grandchildren, Helena Brown (Lucas), Melvin Simms Jr., Aiden Simms and Isabelle Simms; and her siblings, Gene Elizabeth Wilson, Eugene Ford Jr. and Fred Charles Ford.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Home Going Service (3990 Loretto Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32223).
