He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Denisha Mellert (David) of Middleburg and Lance Picard of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, DJ Mellert (Kristy) of Chiefland and Autumn Williams (Michael) of Gainesville; and his sister Ruth Rockcastle of Oxford.
