He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Elaine Brown and Claude Simmons; and his stepfather Anthony Brown. He is survived by: his son Richard Lee Simmons Jr. of Puerto Rico; his siblings, Kenneth Simmons, Anthony Brown, Tyrone Brown and Shirley Brown; and his sister-in-law LaGeorgia Brown. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home and Cremation Services (529 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL 32073). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
