It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Nelson of Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara A Hall and Herbert L Nelson; his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Nelson, Carol Ann Martinez, Alice "Trudy" Heinrich, Herbert "Sonny" Nelson and Shelia Hoyer; and his nephews, Robert John Martinez and Charles Leron Martinez.
He is survived by: his son Jeffrey L Nelson (Amy); his stepdaughters, Tina Crosby and Rhonda Edwards (Shelton); and his stepgrandchildren, Kristopher Adams, Kristina Sparks and Kyndal Edwards.
