She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Augustus Sumner and Alice Inez Sumner; and her grandson Keeden Andrew Joiner. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Joiner (Ricky May Jr) and Brian Joiner; her grandchildren, Columbia May, Aria May and Emma Joiner; and her siblings, Rowland Sumner, Robin Markel (Gary Markel) and Randy Sumner (Kim Sumner). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
