He is survived by : his wife Sharon McCormick; his children, Kellie Bennett-Sweat (Joey) and Curtis McCormick (Lauren Pitzer); his siblings, Ernie McCormick and Donna Hall; and his grandchildren, Cody Godwin (Melody), Dustin Godwin (Ashley), Caleb McCormick (Faith) and Raegan McCormick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Bay Chapel, New Berlin Road. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
