She was predeceased by: her father Edward Wallace Maddox, Jr.; her brother Robert Eark Maddox; and her daughter Ashley Carpenter Caneor. She is survived by: her mother Shirley Shipman Maddox; her husband James Hall Carpenter, Jr. of Jacksonville; and her daughter Laura Faith Carpenter of Jacksonville, Florida..
