She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonnie Dell Register Bruce and William Benham Bruce; her husband George Headley Stone; and her brother William Edward Bruce (Eddie). She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Eddie Bruce, Jr., Erica Bruce, Jeffrey Bruce, Jeremy Bruce and Leah Bruce; her sister-in-law Christine Bruce; her stepdaughters, Laurie Wright, Melanie Collins (Fred) and Mimi; and her grandchildren, Amanda Jones (Casey), Lauren Cranshaw, Clark Wright, Freddie Collins, Shari Smith (Doug) and David Collins. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Avondale United Methodist Church (1651 Talbot Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32205).
