In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Vernon leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Vernon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelley Washington Kitler and Nellie Louise Dunkley Kitler; and his wife Edith Kitler. He is survived by: his children, Sheryl McDuffie (Jack), Rick Kitler and Randy Kitler (Selina); and his sister Elizabeth Swinea. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
