She is survived by: her husband Royce Burke Tipton; her siblings, Patricia Franklin (David) of Dickson, TN and David Vining of Alpharetta, GA.; and her siblings' children, Jeffrey Franklin (Errin) of Louisville, CO, Steven Franklin (Khadijah) of Marietta, GA, Maria Betts (Jason), Jenna Betts, Claire Betts, Ashe Franklin Weller, Keith Betts, Miles Franklin and Tahj Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (stjude.org).
